Interesting Fact

🏫Many Japanese schools and companies begin the day with a "chōrei (朝礼)", or morning assembly. Students or employees gather to hear announcements, share goals, and prepare for the day ahead. While some people find chōrei motivating, others jokingly consider it the hardest part of waking up in the morning.

Memory Trick

The right side of 朝 is the moon (月), peacefully hanging in the sky. Suddenly, the sun(日) arrives on two wheels. The sun rings its bell and tells the moon, "Your shift is over!" As the moon leaves, morning begins.
